Getting To Melbourne

Melbourne Airport is located approximately 23km from the RACV City Club. There are a range of direct flights and low cost fares available so we encourage you to explore all the options available:

Airport Transfers

Easy access is available from the airport to the city centre via bus and taxi. Please refer to the Melbourne Airport website for further information.

SkyBus

SkyBus offers a shuttle bus service from the airport to Melbourne CBD and city hotels. This service operates 24 hours, 7 days. Buses run every 10 minutes throughout the day and every 30-60 minutes overnight. Tickets can be purchased on arrival or online by visiting the SkyBus website.

Taxis

Taxis are available from the ground floor level of Melbourne Airport. The central business district is approximately 30 minutes from the International and Domestic Airport.

A taxi will cost approximately $50-$60.

Getting Around Melbourne

myki is the smart card ticketing system that has replaced Metcard in metropolitan Melbourne and paper tickets on buses in selected regional towns. It is an integrated system that works on trains, trams and buses.

Purchasing cards and top ups to existing cards can be made at the 7-Eleven convenience store on the corner of Bourke Street and King Street (approximately a 3 minute walk from the RACV City Club).

You may purchase a ticket online in advance or for interstate and international guests, a myki explorer pack can be purchased from the PTV Hub at Southern Cross Station, the Melbourne Visitor Centre at Federation Square and the SkyBus terminals at Melbourne Airport and Southern Cross Station.

The myki Explorer Pack includes:

  • A ready-to-use myki card with one day’s unlimited travel in metropolitan Melbourne

Top up to myki cards can be made online or at a number of retail outlets displaying the myki sign including all 7-Eleven convenience stores.
